So it has been a while....

But the Butterfly Club is back!  I am proud to say that the Downtown Organ Trio got no less than three gigs from Butterfly Club members after their resounding success at our launch party.

The Scouts have been enjoying the Sydney Festival and although most of the bands we caught over the summer where hardly in need the butterfly effect, they were all awe inspiring.  We did however stumble across this group playing in the festival garden and would like to share them with you.

The Crusty Suitcase Band are an amazing mix of pure brass and drums which combine to create addictive sound that I guarantee will have you shaking your shoulders to the beat.  See them in action for yourself at the Festival.

They describe themselves as "A melange of horns in a dub-old school-afro-cuban-melting pot, held together with a good does of funky drumming".  They would be sensational at a party, a fabulous dance alternative perfect if you want to get your friends up and moving.  Think high-energy Cuban sounds and you are half way there.

Things too tight to have them at your party? Download their album here for a cool $8.00.
